Nam Young Chung Collection

The Nam Young Chung collection consists of (1) 120 35-millimeter color transparencies, mostly made in Korea between 1945 and 1948 by Nam Young Chung (1916–2013), who served as a military government officer in the U.S. Army; (2) a collection of sixty phonograph records, mostly 78 rpm disks containing Korean music; and (3) a typescript autobiographical essay by Chung.

A list of the slides can be found here. Digitized versions of the photographs in the collection can be seen at the Center for Korean Studies Digital Archive.

For a list of the phonograph records in the collection, see Audio Recordings in the Nam Young Chung Collection.
